Yen Chen

Yen is a recent graduate from the Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCLA. She was introduced to the field of neurodegenerative disease in her major course series and later learned about current efforts in developing treatment for these diseases in a course instructed by Dr. Bitan. The experience inspired her interest in contributing to research in this field. She joined the Bitan lab in the Spring of 2024 and is working on projects testing small-molecule inhibitors of protein aggregation and toxicity.
