Sahar is a dedicated physician with a profound passion for neurology, shaped by a deeply personal journey. She earned her M.D. from the Islamic Azad University, Tehran Medical Sciences Branch, Iran. Her interest in the field was ignited by the loss of her grandmother to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and devastating neurodegenerative disorder—an experience that inspired her to pursue research aimed at understanding and combating these diseases. She joined the Bitan Lab in June 2025 to study and develop minimally invasive biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases.
