About
Nathan Derich is an undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience. Outside of school, he loves backpacking and practicing no-gi jiu-jitsu. His passion for neuroscience was sparked by caring for his grandmother as she battled Parkinson’s Disease. This experience inspired his desire to understand the deeper science behind the pathology of neurodegenerative disease and, in particular, contribute to the development of diagnosis and treatment options. Nate joined the Bitan Lab in Winter 2026, where he is currently responsible for sample preparation and serves as the biorepository and database manager.
