Join the Bitan Lab

Study Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases with us. We are studying their mechanisms, creating tests to detect them early, and developing drug candidates to help treat them. If you are interested in being a part of this effort, email Dr. Bitan.

Postdoctoral Fellows

Currently, we do not have open positions for postdoctoral fellows.

Graduate Students 

Students accepted to one of the Home Areas Dr. Bitan is a member of: Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology, and Molecular & Medical Pharmacology, are welcome to inquire with Dr. Bitan about rotating with us.

Undergraduate Students

Highly motivated UCLA undergrads in disciplines related to our research are generally welcome to inquire about research opportunities in our lab. However, currently we are at full capacity and do not have open positions for new students.

Internships 

Research interns and summer students generally work for periods of no less than 3 months. Due to a change in UCLA policies, we can only accept graduate, but not undergraduate, international interns. According to US law, international students must have independent funding, of which at least 51% must be from a non-personal or family support (for example, a scholarship or a sponsorship).
